Nonisothermal Kinetic Degradation of Hybrid CNT/Alumina Epoxy Nanocomposites

Due to the synergistic effect that occurs between CNTs and alumina, CNT/alumina hybrid-filled epoxy nanocomposites show significant enhancements in tensile properties, flexural thermal conductivity. This study is an extension of previously reported investigations into nanocomposites. A series composites with different loadings were investigated regard their thermal-degradation kinetics lifetime prediction. The parameters acquired via thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) a nitrogen atmosphere. degradation activation energy was determined using Flynn–Wall–Ozawa (F-W-O) method for chosen apparent energy. Ea showed differences at α > 0.6, which indicate role played by hybrid filler loading behavior. From calculations, prediction 5% mass loss decreased increase temperature service nitrogen. revealed its contribution towards stability. On average, higher attributed greater composites.
